Goodbye 20th Century
The exhibition in 1938 was a confident celebration of modernity, which unintentionally coincided with a major turning point in world history. The proposal considers the idea of modernity and modernism as historical artifact. The proposal celebrates the optimism and confidence of the exhibitions (early) 20th century vision of modernity, but also celebrates the fact that we have moved beyond it.
