We are delighted to have been named the winner of the Landscape Institute’s ‘Excellence in Landscape Design’ award for our work at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Glasgow. The award celebrates high-quality built landscape design in its purest sense, rewarding projects which are functional, useable, beautiful and sensitive to their context.

The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice is a new purpose-built facility in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park. Brought to life over seven years, erz have been closely involved in all stages of the project, from helping shape the brief to overseeing the works on site.

The landscape offers a valuable resource for the Hospice, with the goal of improving people’s quality of life and sense of wellbeing. Informed through consultation with Hospice staff, the landscape provides opportunities for therapeutic activity and quiet contemplation.

“Our ambition was that the landscape should be as important as the building, to help us deliver the highest standard of care in the most peaceful and beautiful environment”

Anne Hattie, Director of Operations, Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice

This year the awards ceremony took place online on Thursday 26th November.
