We are creative and highly skilled at the design and delivery of blue-green infrastructure. We use blue-green infrastructure as a placemaking tool to fund and deliver exciting places for people that are also attuned to natural systems.

Landscape-led design is a systems-based approach that greatly enhances any development. At erz we can also offer Building With Nature support and accreditation. erz deliver nature-based solutions from strategic regional planning down to the delivery of ponds and rain gardens.

The projects below offer various examples and approaches to this nature-based approach to landscape design.

Applying the Principles

erz hold Building with Nature accreditation which allows us to certify our work to meet their twelve design criteria for integrated blue-green infrastructure in building projects.

Greater Easterhouse Integrated Green Infrastructure Strategy

Glasgow and Clyde Valley Green Network Partnership recognised the failure of the green network within Greater Easterhouse. The strategy combines water management, active travel and biodiversity enhancement to create a stronger greenspace network and better connection to Seven Lochs Wetland Park.

The study was informed by rigorous landscape analysis and consultation, leading to a comprehensive green infrastructure strategy for Greater Easterhouse. The study underpinned a successful bid to the EU Green Infrastructure fund.
