strategy plan
erz were appointed to undertake a strategic study of the village of Kirkoswald that examines how current development intentions can be formatted to best effect and what further interventions could encourage the physical and economic regeneration of the village. The study evolved a broad set of proposals including the opportunity to re-establish the historic link from the village to Culzean Castle and to tie into the wider network of long distance recreational walking routes. Following this, erz were appointed by Costley & Costley Hoteliers to masterplan and design the external spaces for their development on the main street in Kirkoswald. The layout is focused around a public realm space that forms a new focus for community and visitor activity within the village. The space forms an axial route linking the historic Old Kirk and the Robert Adam influenced Parish Church.
