erz are delighted to hear that the Kilmahew / St Peter’s Seminary project has been awarded £4.2million by the Heritage Lottery Fund on 23rd March.  Our long-standing involvement with the project over the past 7 years has helped to take ideas for the evolving, ruined site from conception, through the masterplan phase and now the detail design and delivery of Phase 1.  We congratulate NVA and everyone who worked on the project.

The First Phase will see the initial restoration and progression of the landscape being delivered.   The journey for visitors, from entering the site, to arriving at the consolidated seminary building ruin, through a variety of landscape routes and spaces, will begin to take shape, along with the establishment of the former walled garden area as a hub space for day to day activity.

As NVA’s recent Hinterland event at the site has shown, the site presents a fantastic opportunity to establish a unique venue for creative and educational activity in Scotland, and we are excited to be able to contribute to this rich and evolving cultural focal point.
